Minha primeira exposição individual, cuja curadoria é de Célia Corsino e Deise Lustosa. Trata-se de uma seleção de imagens do registro fotográfico da obra de restauração dos elementos artísticos integrados do Santuário e Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Antônio Dias de Ouro Preto. Durante os três anos de restauro, foram feitos registros periódicos, totalizando mais de 6.000 imagens.
A mostra celebra o trabalho das várias mãos que restauraram, mantiveram e que um dia ergueram o templo. A seleção de imagens apresenta a obra de restauração, explica alguns processos e procedimentos, mas também expõe registros fotográficos cuja poética revela detalhes inobserváveis do chão. Muitas vezes, explorei da luz natural da igreja para fotografar, condição em que a talha, o douramento e a pintura apresentam-se de forma solene, dramática e singular.
My first solo exhibition, curated by Célia Corsino and Deise Lustosa, is a selection of images from the photographic documentation of the restoration work carried out on the integrated artistic elements of the Sanctuary and Parish Church of Our Lady of Conception in Antônio Dias, Ouro Preto. Over the course of three years of restoration work, periodic records were made, totaling more than 6,000 images.
The exhibition celebrates the work of the many hands that restored, maintained, and once built the temple. The selection of images presents the restoration work, explains some processes and procedures, but also exhibits photographic records whose poetry reveals unnoticed details from the ground. Many times, I explored the natural light of the church to photograph, a condition in which the carvings, gilding, and painting appear in a solemn, dramatic, and unique way.
